Are luxury hotels really worth it?
Most of my travel is business related so my rules of thumb in order are (irrespective of the hotel rating are): 1) Noise: The room MUST be quiet. Nothing worse than getting back from a hard toil are not being able to sleep due to external noises. 2) Room: The room MUST have "room". Nothing worse than having to work in your room when there is none. 3) Clean: Speaks for itself. Particularly the beds and bathroom. 4) TV: When are ALL HOTELS going to start ensuring ALL the digital channels are available on a TV that's not 10 years old? Drives me nuts! 5) Location: It must be central and in a decent area. No use staying in the best hotel in the worst part of town without easy access to other facilities like restaurants, convenience stores, parking facilities, parks etc... |
